Managed service provider friendly cloud playout

As a leading managed service provider Levira was looking to improve competitiveness and agility of its playout service capabilities to address its customers needs of having a cloud playout solution in its portfolio. The company was looking to find a solution which could enable it to compete with new managed service providers using proprietary hybrid playout solutions.

Veset Nimbus offers a cloud platform designed not only with a single broadcaster as a subscriber but also a larger broadcast services organisation such as Levira in mind. Its granular user rights management and multi-tenant cloud architecture were developed to facilitate servicing a portfolio of broadcaster clients.

Levira can offer its clients a combination of self-service and managed service true cloud playout platform. It does not have to make capex long term investments to launch new channels and can improve ROI on channels it now launches with Veset Nimbus. Importantly Levira can seamlessly manage multiple clients on the same platform leveraging its engineer and customer support services efficiently and does not have to spend resources on maintaining in-house hardware by using AWS instead.

Levira is one of the biggest independent TV playout centres in Northern Europe and the leading broadcast transmission provider in Estonia. It helps local and international media companies to design TV channels and ensure that the programs are on air 24/7 and 365 days a year. The company transmit programs to viewers in the Baltic States, Scandinavia and Europe as well as Turkey and United Arab Emirates. Its clients are regional and international TV stations, including Sony, MTG, EBU, ERR, Discovery, ATEA, Telia, Tele2, Elisa and TV3. Levira has two shareholders: the Republic of Estonia (51%) and the French telecom and broadcasting company TDF (49%).
