Telia has implemented disaster recovery (DR) solution for Latvian Television’s (LTV), the national broadcaster of Latvia, main television channel LTV1 using Telia Media Services cloud-based professional playout platform provided by Veset Nimbus.

LTV was looking for a cost efficient DR solution that did not require additional investment into physical infrastructure and hardware. Telia provides the enterprise grade Cloudy Servers public cloud infrastructure and Telia Media Services components for the joint service with Veset Nimbus to provide 100% cloud-based disaster recovery solution for LTV that requires minimum upfront investment but can provide a long-term stable solution in case of a major disaster. LTV is now able to access its cloud-based DR playout via web-based user interface from any workplace where the LTV responsible person is available.
