This year Veset brings two products to Istanbul. The first is Veset Nimbus, our cloud playout platform for broadcast, FAST and OTT channels. The second is STREAKS, the OTT video platform from PLAY, Inc. in Japan, which Veset distributes outside Japan.
Veset Nimbus lets broadcasters and content owners run linear channels in the cloud. At the booth, the team will show how Nimbus handles several common jobs:
24/7 channels for satellite, cable, terrestrial and OTT distribution, with scheduling, live inputs, HTML5 graphics and EPG in one platform.
Disaster recovery for on-prem playout. A DR channel in the cloud that isn’t running until it’s needed. An operator starts it from the console, the API or MCP, and it’s on air within minutes.
FAST and OTT channels, with self-service subscription plans for teams that want to start quickly.
Hosting choice. Nimbus can run in the customer’s own cloud account or on resources Veset provides, on AWS or Hetzner. A Hetzner deployment keeps processing and storage in the EU.
STREAKS is PLAY, Inc.’s online video platform for media companies. It covers the OTT workflow from encoding to multi-device delivery. In Japan it is used by TVer, Hulu and WOWOW, and it serves more than 1 billion plays and 3,000 live streams a month.
