Veset at BroadcastEx 2026 in Istanbul
The Veset team travelled to Istanbul for BroadcastEx 2026, which ran from 22 to 25 October at the Yenikapı exhibition centre. BroadcastEx is Turkey’s trade show for radio and television, digital broadcasting equipment, film production, and sound and lighting technology, so it brings together the people who run channels and the people who build the systems behind them.

On our stand we showed two things: running linear channels in the cloud with Veset Nimbus, and delivering them to viewers at scale with STREAKS, the OTT platform from our parent company PLAY, Inc.
From on-prem to cloud: two sessions with our CTO
Martins Magone, Veset’s CTO, spoke twice on the show’s conference programme:
- From on-prem to cloud: a practical migration roadmap for Turkish broadcasters, a conference session on 22 October
- Real-life scenarios, a workshop on 23 October
Both looked at what moving playout to the cloud involves in practice, for broadcasters that run their channels on their own hardware today.

Meeting our partner Bilgipark
BroadcastEx was also a chance to spend time with Bilgipark, our partner in Turkey. Bilgipark is a system integrator that works with Turkish broadcasters, and it joined us at the show to meet broadcasters together.
Veset Nimbus: cloud playout from a web browser
Veset Nimbus is a cloud playout platform for broadcast, FAST channels and OTT. It runs more than 100 broadcast channels today, most of them traditional 24/7 channels that have been on air for years.
No hardware and no software to install. Operators need a standard web browser and an internet connection.
A choice of infrastructure. Nimbus runs on AWS by default and on Hetzner Cloud, which runs data centres in the EU. Nimbus offers the same features on Hetzner as on AWS, except AWS-specific services such as AWS MediaConnect, AWS MediaLive and AWS CDI.
Redundancy and disaster recovery. Nimbus supports 1+1 hot backup, where two synchronised playouts send identical feeds, and cloud disaster recovery for broadcasters that run on-premises playout. A DR playout isn’t running until it’s needed, then goes on air within minutes.
Automation through an AI assistant. The Nimbus MCP server gives an AI assistant such as Claude access to the full Nimbus API. It’s included in every Nimbus plan.
STREAKS: OTT delivery proven in Japan
STREAKS is the OTT platform from PLAY, Inc., and Veset distributes it outside Japan. It powers some of Japan’s largest streaming services, including TVer, Hulu (Japan) and WOWOW. PLAY’s figures for STREAKS:
- 1B+ plays a month
- 350M+ DRM licences a month
- 5.5M+ authenticated monthly active users
- 2M+ peak concurrent viewers
- 3,000+ live streams a month
- A zero-outage record
Together, Nimbus plays out the channel and STREAKS delivers and protects it on OTT.

Not every visitor at BroadcastEx came for the technology.

You can still try Veset Nimbus yourself. The 7-day trial includes all features and the REST API, with no credit card needed. FAST and DR playout start from $499 per channel per month, including cloud infrastructure for a standard configuration. See all plans on the pricing page.
